Default Local Proshop

I went to a local pro shop today and had a problem with the arrow I bought there. It slid through the rest. He adjusted the rest, paper tuned it, cut 4 arrows, and glued the inserts in 4 arrows, installed the peep site, sighted it in, and tuned my bow. He worked for 2 hours. He also only charged me $4. If you just bought from huge store chains then you are missing out. The prices might be higher but so is the quality.

I got a small shop I go to for most of my stuff. The guys in there know their stuff. If you need a new string, just tell him what bow you got and he instantly knows what length and wont hesitate to make a string for it. Its awesome! I love it. THey got a range in there and just got one of them video shoot things. I LOVE that thing! Its not that far away and for all the help Shane is with my bow, its definately worth the little bit extra things MIGHT cost[8D]

I agree, support your local Bow Shop if there is one in your area. Also besides the help there are normally some good stories and hunting information in the local area.

My bow wasn't made to have a draw length down to 28", but some pro shop in columbus put a smaller string on and now it shoots fast, correct, and quiet. This guy knows his stuff too. I would go to a BASS Pro, but I am a poor guy[&:]

I could not agree more. There are many special services that a pro shop can provide which a big store chain cannot....many times it is a knowledgable sales person.

Some shops are very reasonable with their prices on not only services but equipment as wel. Others...well, lets just leave it at that.

Well, my proshop is Macrotech, owned and operated by LenInMaryland..... Need I say more? OK... just a little. For about 30 years I did my own thing, bought from discounts etc... then I found Len. Now, I just buy what I think I can afford and don't think of price shopping. I have compared some just because I wanted to check and see if all the specials at these places are what they seem. They're usually not. And like ZAK said..... I get back all and more I might save by price shopping through quality work and service and peace of mind.[8D]

Having a good pro shop is an essential. When I bought my stalker they discounted $125 off the price then spent the rest of the day getting it set so it would fit me in every way. I even brought in accessories that I had purchased elsewhere and put them on for me at no extra charge. It's actualy like having a good family of friends to help. The big companies may give a slight discount but they can't compare to the personal attention given by smaller pro shops.
