Default $3-$5 more at a proshop

I can go to a huge chain store and buy what I want for $3-$5 less than I can get it at my archery shop. I like to support my archery shop. It is the only one around here and I want to keep it here. I believe since I shop there so much that I get free service (fletchings refletched, free field tips, and tuning). Do any of you do this so your pro shop can stay around?

Zak! I spend a lot of money buying off of e-bay {Hunting Gear},and sometimes I wonder if I should be ,but even then I spend a lot at my local shop as well .I don't think anybody would critisize you for buying elsewhere as long as you spend your share at your local shop as well. Most of the stuff I buy off of e-bay I can't get at my shop unless they order it for me ,alot of time's they forget to order for me ,so I don't feel bad . For the matter of $3 or $4 dollar's I would probably buy it from my shop ,now if it was $10 or $20 then I would buy it elsewhere .

My proshop has most items at or below market prices. I'm lucky to have it near here.

I suuport my shop a good bit. Since buying the bow there, they rarely charge me for minor tuning issues or using their range. Most of their prices are reasonable, so I buy most of the little odds & ends there, unless they don't have what I'm looking for.

Nubo......I also support my local shops, I do make a lot of purchases on ebay as well and had sthe same thoughts, but then I started looking at the sellers and the majority of them are also small shops. So if I can help out all over... the better.

Zak,

I am a little confused. Are you asking whether or not buying something somewhere other than a pro shop is a "bad thing"?....or are you asking whether or not you should get some free services from the pro shop because you spend a good deal of money there?

Actually, I feel a little guilty when I buy archery stuff anywhere but the shop. But sometimes, ya just gots to. Like the stuff on the clearance rack at Wally World.

Go one more step and buy USA made gear. So many company copy and ship stuff from over seas in 3-4 years some of you best manufactures will be out of bis. The extra $3-$5 buck will keep them up and running. I know it is hard to find USA made gear but in the long run we will all be better off. (MY 2 cents) That to me is true local purchase!

THAT'S EXACTLY RIGHT MAN, THE GUY I BOUGHT MY TROPHY RIDGE NITRO EXTREME FROM IS A PRO SHOP IN OHIO. I GOT MY SIGHT FOR 32.00 PLUS 6.00 FOR SHIPPING. IT RETAILS IN CABELAS FOR 79.99. I WAS WONDERING IF HE WAS SELLING ON EBAY DO MOST OTHER SMALL PRO SHOPS DO THE SAME THING?
