I was hunting with my dad when i was young we had a button head walk within feet of us. We had a barb wire fence right in front of us and I believe he would have walked right on top of us if that fence wasnt there

A couple of years ago I had to jump out of the way of a couple of deer running down a trail! They never saw me until I jumped behind a tree! That will get your heart going.

I was walking to my stand early one morning along a corn field that had not been picked. About half way down the field I heard a noise and felt something brush me, I looked over and I saw a white tail hoping away from me. Lets just say I am glad I carry toilet paper in my backpack[:' (].

Thanksgiving day many years ago.... I was too tired and full from the feast to climb my treestand so I leaned up against this tree. I heard something bounding, then seen this doe on a collision course with me and my tree. At about 10ft I leaned forward and brought my shotgun up. She veered to my left and passed at under 10ft. I had a scope on, so I had to shoot by looking down the barrel. I was falling towards my left shoulder as I shot and the deer just piled up and stopped about 10 yards from me.
Seems that my inertia from falling to my left caused me to lead the deer and since she had her head down the slug went right through the eye socket. What a surreal moment. Looking back, I am not even sure why I shot as I don' t shoot at running dear...hence the reason I use a scope. ??
Had another one at about 15 ft on ground last weekend.

I have had deer directly below my stand several times.
Once while on the ground I had a doe about 4 ft away! She was staring right at me moving her head in all directions to get a better look at me. I couldn' t believe how bad her eyesight was, she only ran away after i tried to draw back and then she caught movement of course.

This past friday, I was in the woods putting my steps on a tree. I had just climbed down and was on the 2-way with my friend. I heard something to my right. There he was, a small 6 point coming down the hill, nose to the ground, about 10 yds away. I tucked behind the tree and was peeking around. He walked forward a couple of steps and then bounded off. Coolest thing I have ever seen. I was not quiet by any stretch and was in mid sentence when he came up on me.
