Ok... here goes........
I got a 3d ASAT suit before I went to Illinois..... I was hunting from tree stands for deer along with my son (11 yr old) who was wearing a much too large ASAT pant and jacket.....
I will say first i was surprised by this stuff..... here is why......
We were situated in aone stand that left my son against the sky - no matter how I tried its very hard to get 2 tree stands in a tree without one being a ' stand out'
We had a coyote come down the trail at dawn on Tuesday and stopped 10 yards away when my son all of a sudden decided it was time to scratch his face ! Well the coyote instantly looked straight at him from 10 yards and to my amazement my son then moved again !! The coyote stared for about 5-10 seconds and went about his business.... guys I was stunned..... he walked 10 yards past us (went right under us) and was messing around sniffing, digging..... he looked up at us a few times but themn relaxed and just kept up his business..... never spooking. This surprised me considering he SAW my son move and there were 2 stands up there about 14 feet high.....
On another occasion in a differant stand - same situation - I was a ' stand out' and 3 does stopped - 2 almost under us, the other 15 yards away looking in our direction becuase the wind was blowing their way.... they knew SOMETHING was wrong but sat there - stamped feet.... looked all over, but never AT us for more than a second and never spooked so my scent control was working pretty well and they never ' saw' us - because I looked later at the stand I was in when my son was in the tree and I was sillohetted against the sky bad...... but never got busted.....
Another occasion in same stand - we had 15+ turkeys walking in front of us..... then around us, past us.... all the while never a spooked bird in 20 minutes of being surrounded.... this was COOL because I had a guy looking at my suit that said " It will never work on Turkeys" so I cant wait to talk to him !
Another occasion....... we had 2 does near us, and again my son moved - they looked, wagged the tail... and kept walking.........
And now the kicker...........
I shot my buck at close range - a good shot but a lil rearward- the wind was blowing 35 mph- yes 35, it was scary in the tree !...... I thought it was a good shot but was a little rear..... he jumped- went 45 yards, fell..... I though- " ok it was ok afterall" so I wait 10 minutes - I can see it..... looks done..... So I climb down, walk over there... I get about 25 yards away and it jumps up ! Man guys I freaked.... I couldnt believe it...... So I knock an arrow and it looks right at me.... then I realize its really was looking ' through me' it was at full alert - looking for what it saw and had no idea I was there...... wind in my face and I move again... still he didnt run.... he stamped a foot, took 2 steps and I sent another broadhead (first was a steelforce, next a montec G5) he only went 3 hops and folded up and was done in 30 seconds..... I was upset - (VERY) about that but was glad I got to get off the second shot clean......
anyway- that deer was in FULL alert, LOOKING for the danger it KNEW was near and never figured out where I was.... truely an awesome representation of this camo we have all been reading about.
I give the ASAT - both 3-d and the pants jacket non 3d stuff high marks...... In a 2 hunter situation it proved it can break up some serious outlines and help a hunter get close........
I would definately say if you are wondering about it- it is good stuff. I am picky about how I do things which everyone on here knows that read my posts about scent control.....
Also - I dont know what I liked better - the 3-d or the solid clothing..... I know the solid worked well becuase my son would have otherwise been busted many times......
A+ rating..........
Would Mossy Oak, Advantage, Skyline, etc... have worked as well ? In a few situations we experianced perhaps.... but I have been busted before in a simular situation wearing another Camo and this time I wasnt... more than once.......
ASAT Camo should be something any serious bowhunter looks at.... for ANY game - I am a true believer now.....
Good luck guys...... hope ya like my little ' review'
By the way - all my friends, and a shop in Illinois all asked for the ASAT Companies phone number...... especially after hearing my stories everyday when I came in.....

Behold, the power of ASAT...
I can' t agree enough. I know many are skeptical, but with this stuff you get opportunities when you' re caught not being perfect.
It works exactly as advertised.
I had an opportunity I passed on this past weekend. I' m sitting in a buddy ladder stand my brother-in-law put up on the downside of a hillside food plot. Right after first light, a beautiful perfectly symetrical 2 1/2 year old 10 point, probably 130-40ish, comes into the north side of the plot 80 yards away from me. He caught the estrous scent I put out, and walked straight to me, scanning all around me looking for the deer. He stopped 20 yards out, looking right at me and all around me, as do to the hillside he was at my eye level (the stand was put up as a shotgun stand for his son). I might as well have been standing in the field with him. He finally looked away, and I started to stand and draw all in one motion. He turned my way again and I froze, squatting and had just hit peak weight in the draw. I held steady for as long as possible, then my arm started shaking as he just looked at me. I SLOWLY let the bow down, he' s looking at me the whole time. He turns and starts walking away, I come to full draw again, he stops 30 yards out, facing away from me, my only shot would have been a neck shot, so I passed.
Later I had a Doe and two buttons froliciking 10-15 yards all around me, munching clover and playing around. I just stood there. They' d look through me when they looked my way, never had a clue...
