what was the closest shot you have ever taken a deer with? by this i mean how close have you been to a deer when you sshot it?

5 yards from the base of my tree. Second would be11 yards from a ground blind.

I had to lean out from my stand so I wouldn't hit it. The deer was directly under me. I hit him in the back, he buckled and ran away, my arrow fell out and I never got him. I will never take that shot again. [&o]

From a tree- 4 yds from its base
From the ground- 12 yds.

From the ground, 2 yds! Was within 2 feet of a deer two other times, but didn't shoot.
