I agree with the other guys here, bring him in a nice set of horns as a side dish to the crow. Good Luck this season.
YEAH!!!!!! [:-] Thanks... You know I' m going to! Good luck to you also.

Huntmaster305, you too have a PSE Edge 1000C? [8D] What a heck of a bow, ain' t it? It is my first ever bow and and I enjoy going out hunting with it and practicing in the backyard. It does what I want and is accurate.

Seems like everybody has to be talkin' smack these days. Like everyone is still in Jr. High and talkin' about cars or trucks or something.

Your bow should be fine. If you shoot it well, what could the problem be? Oh, that' s right. If ya shoot a deer with an old bow like that, and get a double-lung pass through, the deer will only lay there playin' ' possum ' till ya go over to check on it, then it will get up and run off laughin' or somethin' .[&:]

I still have an old bow (Darton Viper) and it has outshot many bows I have bought to try to replace it with something " better." I have stopped trying to do that, and will keep this bow for good.

My brother has an early 90' s PSE that has killed many dozens of deer. He puts a notch on his bow after each kill, and that PSE has so many notches in it, I think the riser may break in half from it. Two years ago, he bought a Mathews SQ2 and is the first to admit that although he likes the new bow, it is no better than his old one. Faster, but not better.

I have a 1980 Martin Lynx that I been shooting fingers with a bit this year. I haven' t used it for about 6 years, but I' m thinking of going out and getting my next deer with it. I' m positive it will be no problem.

Maybe you should tell this guy that hunting is the art of getting close and your bow is more than adequate when matched with your hunting skills, however you don' t blame him for wanting something better.

I shoot a PSE Mach 6 from the early 90' s. We just got my son a new bow, and I saw the new Archery Research bows, and they are SWEEET! But, when I thought about it, my bow hasn' t let me down one single time. Any time I came home without deer, it was because I didn' t put myself where the deer were, they winded me, or something like that. Not ONCE did I lose a deer because of the bow.

I would say that no deer are ever lost because of a bow. Deer are lost because of poor shot placement or a host of other things, but if you put a razor through certain areas of a deer' s body, the deer is going to die, period.

I wonder if the deer can tell what type of bow he' s been shot with??

Well, at least he did not tell you to shoot a Mathews....he must have some credibility.....

Seriously though, what I have found with alot of folks is that they need to " feel" like they have some sort of edge compared to the next guy when they go hunting. Whether that is the newest gear or the best property to hunt it does not matter. Being a hunter is so much more than what some folks make it out to be.

The next time the guy gives you crap then just smile and think of all the money you saved.
