Wow..... Thanks, guys! [:-]

Yeah, the co-worker is a bit full of himself, ain' t he? [:' (] I know that when I draw back with a #2315 arrow and 125gr field tip, look through the peep site at the 30 yard pin, see the center bullseye at 30 yards away on my target bag... WHAMMO!! I will nail the exact center of the bullseye. Same as if I see a nice 8 pointer come into range and give me a nice broadside shot. Aim behind the shoulder, right in the middle, and I will have venison in my freezer! [:-]

Thanks again....

Glad to see there' s other members in the old bow club. I' m using a 1990 Hoyt Pro Vantage. Heavy as a chevy compared to the new Havotecs and such, but it killed deer in the early 90' s and did last year as well.

I just don' t buy the crap that you need new bows to shoot deer or good scores or whatever. The Hoyt team was using the Pro Vantages in the early 90' s to shoot perfect scores in tournaments at that time, juast as the PSE teams may have used your bow in the mid 90' s. Did the targets get smaller or the distances longer? Have the deer developed some sort of new armor that stops 278 fps arrows tipped with muzzies and thunderheads in the last 13 years? Are the deer faster or tougher, as a whole? BS, I say.[:@] If it would kill a deer when it was the latest, greatest, it' ll kill a deer now.

I' ll use my money to buy ASAT!!! Then I can sell my bow and just bop the deer on the head as they walk past me.

Some people just seem to get hung up on having to have the newest equipment.....if it works for you just shoot and enjoy........

I have to go... my pager is vibrating, my cell phone is ringing, I need to get to my treestand before my solar powered feeder goes off and I have to pick up batteries for my GPS, if I can just find the remote to my truck.

I shot a High Country for 9 years..great bow..still is......my problem was I shot a new Mathews Legacy and had to have one...........I didn' t get the Legacy, it ATA is shorter than I like.......

I found a great deal on a Mathews MQ1........perfect ATA and it fits me to a T.

I bought the MQ1 for $300..........couldn' t pass that up.

Some people have to have a new bow every year, I guess maybe some people are way better off than some of the rest of us........cuz I plan on shooting the MQ1 til the thing just won' t shoot anymore.....

You should have told that guy where to get off...........

Apparantly this guy doesn' t know what he' s talking about. Did he really suggest a Hoyt or a Martin? That alone shoots his credibility out the door!

I wish I could find a decent old bow. Being a finger shooter, not many choices now days. I prefer 43" ata minimum.

LOL That' s just not right man.

I just started bowhunting this year and borrowed a friend' s PSE Baby-G. It is 2 or 3 years old and I was shooting just fine out to 30 yards with it. My hunting buddy uses ' 96 Mathews Ultralight and it still can hit a bullseye and kill a deer just fine. As others have said. It is about you and not so much about the bow. Any bow that is in good working and does what you want it to do is all the bow you need. If you want a bow with all the bells and whistles, that is fine, but if you get the kill with a new bow or a 30 year old bow, the deer is just as dead. [8D]

I' m still shooting an early 80' s Darton Trailmaster. [:-]

I want a new bow but can' t really justify it right now. When the kids get a littler older and I can spend more time in the woods (with them along of course), then I' ll go for it. But for now, if I want to get out with a bow, that' s what I' m using.
