I was hunting Sat morning and had a real nice buck get by me, 10 pointer that never gave me a clean shot. Anyhow he was accompanied by 4 smaller bucks and after they went by me and out into the field I tried to grunt and get them to turn around and come back. The deer became nervous and trotted across the field and back into the woods. Is this stand dead now or will it be okay to hunt it again soon. Thanks for any advice you can give. I would really like to have that
buck for my first bow harvest.

give it a couple days and it should be alright.

Na ,hunt it again,they don' t really know what that sound was. They don' t now it was you.

Well from what you said they weren' t spooked, they probably left because they are not really in the rut yet and may not have wanted a fight. The stand is not blown, hunt it again in a few days.

I agree w/ the above posts. Wait a week and head back.
