MikeB,
I use a diamond stone that I' ve had for years. I use it to sharpen all my knives and it works great on my G5' s too. Years ago I couldn' t sharpen a knife to safe my life. I bought this stone and can now sharpen a knife or broadhead to razor sharpness in little time. Hope this helps.

Back in the old days when tools all had wooden handles I was taught that a truly sharp edge would " hang" on the back of a fingernail, something that was close but not quite perfect would still slip on the nail. This might be a little more socially acceptable way to test an edge. Good luck hunting!

Just last night I was sharpening my heads and could not get them razor sharp and was becoming very discouaged. Then a buddy of mine told me to run the blade across my fingernail and it grabbed the nail pretty good. So now I feel a little more comfortable that they should sharp enough with your opinion. Thanks

I am very happy with the montec' s. I tried three different broadheads and these hit right where I was aiming. Now the real test comes in one month when the WI. season opens.
