I am a hunter. I"ve been hunting for over 30 yrs. And I have hunted with rifle, shotgun, muzzleloader and bow. My first muzzleloader was an old CVA that I still have, and my first bow was a old jennings.I did not start or fall in love with hunting because of a specific weapon,I fell in love with hunting and will continue to hunt even if I have to use a club!
And for you guys to argue that we need to allow xbows so we can bring more people to the sport are foolish.
Yes we need more people to start and fall in love with our sport,THE SPORT OF HUNTING not the sport of killing something with my xbow.
Those who truly want to learn to hunt will do so.
Those who will only hunt if they can use a specific weapon the sport can do without!!

So let me get this straight. The pro-arrowgun shooters (ones who wish for it be considered legal archery equip equal to a compound/longobw) argument is the arrowgun will save all of hunting? Is this what all of your arguments are?

Are you saying without the arrowgun, all of hunting is doomed.

Not very hypocritical of you at all (sarcasm )to allow yourself to hunt with anything you choose yet tell someone else they can do without if it doesn't fit your ideas of hunting.

Compounders have a very difficult time grasping that .........

Hmmm I dont think that anyone here ever said without a xbow, hunting is doomed. But what is fact, is that it IS legal archery equip, equal to a compound/longbow.

I don't understand were you are getting worldly lust from. Are you calling hunting a worldly lust or just xbow hunting....The story was nearly a mirrow image of what Rev was talking about. Not in a religous way however. A parable doesn't have to be religious in nature. Just that Rev thinks bowhunters are owed more for working longer and harder than the guys that use xbows.....just like the workers that thought they should make more since they worked longer and harder. Nothing was taken away from the 1st worker....nothing is taken away from bow hunters yet they are mad as hornets.

"Not saying that because the way you treated me on this thread".....You really have the nerve to say someone treated you badly when you have done nothing treat everyone like crap that disagrees with you.....Wow what gall. You call xbow hunters and others scum, lazy, called people idiots about 20 times, compared them to homosexuals and abortionist.....WOW.

You claim many things but will not back up a single one. You let your emotions get the better of you and you called people idiots I don't know how many times. Just calm down and prove to me were the xbow has caused harm to bow hunters or the deer heard. Just facts please.

Your #1 thing is that bow hunting is about tradition. If thats so then why does it matter if the bow season is so long. Would you be happy with a 2 week bow season and still celibate your tradition. The season is 3 to 5 months long in most states because most state have expanded the season. Gun season has been expanded in most every state. Muzzleloader season has been expanded in most every state. Why can't xbow be expanded. Even if you don't think its a bow they still have a right to expand the season. If there is proof it causes harm to the sport of hunting or deer population are devastated I will admit they are a mistake.

The fact is they are not causing issues to the states that have them. If so show me.

Also stand in any bow shop in America and ask 100 new bow hunters why they are buying a new bow. I bet almost none will say for tradition. I bet most all will say to extend their season.

I have given you respect for the fact that you love traditional equipment and admit it takes much more dedication to use. To me thats a personal issue and you should not expect every hunter to have the same traditions or want the same challenge. Some just want to hunt and enjoy the time out doors. Don't call them lazy slobs just because they have a different view that you do.
Big Country, I ask you several question here....do you not have an answer to them. You've jump on all my other post why skip this one?

So, your probably an obama socialist. You would demand pay at work even though you only worked 1 hour of the day????

they're legal for 65+yo and people with disabilities here...

I have a bow and see no reason to need a crossbow...if they made them legal for everyone I wouldn't rush out and buy one.

If I was getting into bowhunting and never had a bow etc...maybe I'd go the crossbow route, but I'm not changing now...
