Default Twist vanes

I was wondering if any of you have tried those twist vanes? I shot my bow today for the first time getting it set up and I had those twist vanes and I thought they were gabage. I took a couple of my brother in laws arrows which are standard blazer vanes and the difference was clearly evident. I was at a bow shop back in late December and the sales guy talked me into the twist vanes and I will never buy another set. IMO another gimmick that got into my pocket.

Like these but they clearly say twist vanes on an easton arrow.

I've shot them before. They shot fine a few times but then the vanes would get all wavy like and shoot like crap.
