I never have checked them before but I have been shooting them for years and I have never had any issues tuning (paper, bare shaft, etc...) As for the cost of them, they last for a very long time. I used the same 2 dozen for the last 8 years,I just take them out of the old shafts and put them in the new ones. I just built some arrows at the house with 5gr tubes and have come up with some good hunting shafts in the 550gr @ 29" range and they pask a heck of a wallop @ 245fps.... I am interested to see if you guys come up with a difference in deflection, as I would think that the diff. would show in tuning....
