Default release question

i think my release is more for 3d shooting not hunting.
I am thinking of making a switch.
It just releases with to little of pressure it even cost me a deer last season.

Would making a change in what release i use change my sights.
Or since there is a month till season should i wait till next season

Default RE: release question

Most 3D shooters use a REALLY heavy trigger poundage. I know I did. My hunting release I like a little lighter.

Switching types of releases (say thumb tirgger to strap type) could alter your POI....but not dramatically. Not anything that couldn't be fixed with a sight adjustment (simple one). Pin gap would not be affected, naturally.

what kind of release is it? Because most are adjustable, to make the trigger pull heavier, or lighter.
