Default Release Question??

Where is everyone trigger when their at draw? When I draw mine it's at the tip of my index finger.Does anybody bring their trigger back?I thought about moving it back kind of between my knuckles.Does this make any sense and is it worth trying?I'm fixing to buy a new release and I thought about cutting my current one down and seeing how it feels.
Give me you thoughts.
Thanks,
JE

I like mine just like pulling trigger on rifle/shotgun or release--half way between tip and first joint!!

I am not a doctor but I am a paramedic, So answering this both from a rifle/bowhunter and medic. Medic- you have more nerve endings on the tip of your fingers and therefore more feel. Hunter- I believe there's more movement (translation- takes longer more room for error). I am not a professional hunter, but thats one thing I love about this site is the advice and Information. Enjoy.

Just behind my first joint is where mine comes to. Was told I'd be less prone to jerking the trigger on my release if it's behind the first joint because then I can just squeeze my finger on the trigger slowly and have better control and feel of the trigger at all times.

Thanks for the replies.I'll make small adjustments.Shortening my release should shorten my drawlength as well right?I think my DL is a tad long. When I draw it feels like my back may be bending away from the bow a tad instead of straight up and down.
Thanks again,
JE
