Most 3D shooters use a REALLY heavy trigger poundage. I know I did. My hunting release I like a little lighter.

Switching types of releases (say thumb tirgger to strap type) could alter your POI....but not dramatically. Not anything that couldn't be fixed with a sight adjustment (simple one). Pin gap would not be affected, naturally.
