RE: Release Question
The canine is a great anchor point. It may be your release. You may be plucking the string which is smacking you in the lip. Try rubbing a leather conditioner into the fingers of the glove. Practice allowing the string to roll off your fingers smoothly with your elbow falling straight back. At rlease, your draw hand should be relaxed. This will aid in a smooth release.

I can't recall getting a sore lip. Did that happen to you in the past? But everyones face is shaped a bit different. I do have to watch to not hit the tip of my nose though. That causes a terrible follow though for me. [:@]

RE: Release Question
Here's the reason I turn my head so much. My right eye is a bad eye. I hurt my eye . My left eye is dominate. I have experimented over and over, and sometimes, I can shoot well relying only on my right eye. Especially if I close my left eye. After some warmups closing my left eye, I can get into a groove shooting well with both eyes open. But sometimes I get crossed vision. And brain gets confused. But none of this is very practical.
So I started actually leaning over canting almost a 2:30 position to get my left eye inline with my arrow, and started shooting really good.
So after 1000's of shots, I still don't have my form down to where I want. This eye thing really hurts me in pistol shooting too. So I where shooting glass's that block my left eye vision.
I have tried the left hand thing, but man, that seems like a uphill climb.
