Not sure if everyone can get it but look for 'Hunting with Penns Woods'. These guys hunt Western PA (and a few other places in Maryland, WV) but the PA is all DIY public land hunts. Plus they get the kids involved each week.

The one thing I could do with out are all the deer drives, but still a good show.

Guys you need to go to whitetailsinc.com it is Todds new web show and he is showing all the work and why we hunt where we do.. Also go check out our videos at whiteknuckleproductions.com we are bow only use no guides or outfitters all the land is either leased gotten by knocking on doors or publicland.. Mine and Steves bucks this year for the video came off of stateland in Illinois, two of the hardest bucks we have ever killed.. Walt

I could give a rats butt about Tred Barta, but he does shows on public land. Saw him sling arrows at Elk on public land before. I have not watched a hunting show in over two years, so not sure if he still does it.

I do not like the shows that hunt places that are more or lesshunting farms.

How come so many of us hate hunting farms IE fence operations, But we have no problem watching them on TV.
I think we all need to make a push to get the shows to at least so some public land hunts, public land where they scout it plant the food plots.

Come on guys we need some realistic hunting.

I love the big buck shots but i love the doe shots just as much.

That is one reason i watch spirit of the wild and getting close at least some of the time they hunt like us

Nuge is well known for hunting in cages and on deer farms. Just throwin that out there.

Other than that I think it would be cool to see public land hunts, I like watching the cabelas memories in the field and stuff like that. You'll like team overkill i think they're website is www.teamoverkill.net Anyhow

The reason they don't hunt public land is there is way way way too many variables. I.e. other hunters, scouting issues, its just way more difficult, watching pro hunters on TV is more of a dream world for the most part.

Again all this is just my opinion.

Ryan.

I agree. Uncle Ted is a riot. He doesn't try to hide the high fences. It's entertainment and if I had the money, I just might very well try and establish a similar set-up, in adddition to "fair-chase" hunting. If there is such a thing.

I like watching the hunting shows where they only take 150 plus class bucks on carefully managed farms. I don't do that but I might if I had the opportunity, time and $$$. So its fun for me to watch. Even if I do end up arrowing a mere 100 class buck.

Also, I like uncle Ted's cooking segments. And Jim Zumbo's. Too bad they don't do more of them and other shows don't do much if any of them. Would be nice to focus a little more on what you can do with the meat you get from your hunt!
