I would defenitely feel weird if people could drive by and see me sitting there. Just would really feel like hunting. BUt if thats where the deer are........ it might just be worth it.

Hell, what you described sounds like a few of my spots.

I have a friend who shot a buck out of one of those plastic houses in someone's backyard while the entire family stood at the back window watching and cheering him on.

Hunt that yard.

Less pressure on those deer the better. Hunting the corner of the yard as long as you do not stand out like a sore thumb sounds great.....you won't put any scent down and the deer will feel safe. If you do hunt the woods I would say to make the entrance and exit quiet and try to stay off anywhere those deer walk.

I've got a stand set-up in somebody's yard. I only hunted the place 3 times, and passed on a shot once because it was peak rut and this ansy doe that stopped 8 yards in front of me kept looking behind her...

I may be shooting deer from the back door of my buddy's garage this season. If I do hang a stand it will likely be on the edge of his yard .

I'll sit in the yard.........hell I'll sit on his kid's swingset.

(I aint proud)
for 20 bucks I'll call the guy a chickenplucker

I ain't either Matt....I have a stand at my parents house...(9 acres) that I get to here what the neighbor's day was like when he tells his wife. I am legal and ethical in my stand at this location.....THey have not seen me in my giant pine, but they know that I am there as I made sure they knew as to not have their son doing carnival tricks in the yard on the wheeler all evening like two years ago.

I will definatly be set-up in the corner of his yard! This is where he says they are all the time. And these deer are very use to humans thats the problem there are to many and he wants them gone, not all of them but when your on your deck and there is 30 deer in your yard eating your shrubs starring at you...you have a problem! And i have a new hunting honey hole!

I've been invited into such scenerios on several occassions, and havepolitely passed on every one. I already hunt small woodlots, butI drawthe lineat thebackyard fringe. I have no interest in just shooting something without the main elements of a real hunt.

A buddy of mine invited me to go hunt woods next to a golf course. I accepted the invite. When I get there though I start having mixed feelings because the woods I see is a little 3 acre patch that is right on the golf course. We were there way before sunset and it was hot. I was watching people golf from my stand. Also I was thirsty so when nobody was around I ran to the 3rd holes tee box and got a drink from the water jug there. After that it didn't feel right so I just decided to go up to the clubhouse and get something to eat while I was at it. I went back on stand just to watch deer and not shoot them unless it were a hog. I haven't gone back since.
