Default O.k. Lets say...

You got some new land to hunt. And it's in and around houses. You got 8 acres of woods behind a house and it's loaded i mean loaded with deer all around you in all the little patches of woods. The land owner tell's you last year he took a picture of 8 buck in his yard and the smallest was a 16" 7 point throw in a 12 and a 10 over 20" wide. Now my question is he tells me to put a treestand just at the corner of his yard. Would you hunt his yard(yes its legal hunting distance from his house) or would you go down in the woods? I personally am gonna set up in the woods, 3 stands total on 8 acres. I just don't feel right sitting in a guys yard![&:]

I always feel if someone can drive by or they can see me from there house I'm to close to them. Obviously that isn't always true, but i find it very hard to hunt if someone can see me. So no, I wouldn't hunt in his yard.

Tim, Hunt where the deer are. If the deer are in the yard, hunt the yard and don't worry about safety zone, if the landowner tells you to hunt there, hunt there. You can sit on his porch if he gives you permission.

The other option, find the trails leading and sit off the yard further where you feel comfortable.

dont take a chance of busting them in the small woods. set up where he said, after all he is the one who has patterned them and knows what they are doing.
