We have a few bears every year roaming the woods. in 2004 we had 1 mom with 4 cubs yes 4 cubs, 2 more hanging around together and another mom with 1 cub!! all on about 240 acres! four on our 80 and the mom with 4 cubs was hanging around mostly on the two 80 beside our place!! Every year we have aprox. 2-4 bears around our place.

I figured that! You guys really have allot of bear up there. Maybe some day I'll get up that way and do some bear hunting some time. Bear hunting is my passion, I really love doing it!

I know a guy that is going for bear this week end! One year we saw a bear track that was I think 51/2 or 6 inches wide!!

They put on that much wieght, that quickly ?? I mean, I know they "fatten up" for hibernation...but 60lbs in 4 or 5 months ?
He looks to be in that 180lb range right now, by fall he should be around 240lbs I bet
