I didn't steal it, it "fell off a truck".

Not unless they were illegally placed on our land.

Yep, any stand within 10yards or so from the property line comes down. No one will start any trouble with us and they never have, they just accept it.

ESPECIALLY if we know that the hunter MUST walk across our property to access his stand. Call it an "easement"....thats what we are told to do and thats what we do.

Also, the property that borders this piece is township property and we posted it WildLife Safety Zone...So really, any stand on that land should be cut down by one of us, although the Township didnt request that we take stands down, only post itand then patrol when we can.
SO.k I would never own land I could not access! If you do have a scenerio where you border other guys land and they are hunting on there land lawfully and your taking there stands down because they are to close to you then thats plan wrong! If they are on there land you are trespassing and stealing! I dont care if they are 1ft. on there land its there land nothing you should be doing about it. Thats what I was trying to say. Hell I got stands hanging 3 ft on my property line with posted signs all around. Am I wrong hell no Im perfectly legal. There is not a thing anyone can do! If that guy started taking down my stands we would have real problems. Hell he is anti hunting and knows they are all there and even stole them before but I took care of that and now there back hung in the same trees for the last 3 years and he willnot touch them or bother me!

I have one stand, my climber, and it's all I need right now. I might put a couple of ladder stands on the two farms I started hunting last year and when I do I'll buy them. Last year I found five illegal stands on the public land I hunt and never thought about stealing them for my use,but I did leave notes stating that theymight end up at the rangers station as they should not be left up.

No I haven't taken any down that were in my woods. I've found people in my stands on the land that I own, things got very intense in a hurry!! Lets just say they won't be there again. I've found permanent stands that people built on my land that I quickly demolished. I took the pieces and threw them back on the neighbors land being thats who put the stand up to begin with. They no longer own the land that buts up to mine!! I wonder why.

No and I never will, not a thief. If I found one on my property I'd hand it over to the GM or put it in the rubbish. Bad Karma is a bitch!

If it is on my land or land I have sole permission to hunt, they just lost a stand, and I'll tell him to his face.

Shut Up Randy!!!!

Over the years my cousin has given sole permission to hunt his land to about a dozen different folks usually during the same deer season. But i get your point.
