Personally I would pick the darton, I just like that company. It's a small company with good customer service and solid designs. They seem to care more about the product than they do advertising and making themselves seem better than everyone else.
Most people I know ended up with a darton because of word of mouth, or they shot one and liked it. They didn't fall for a fancy advertising scheme, because darton simply doesn't have one.
I've never been a big fan of Bear archery to tell you the truth. I still think of them as Kmart or chain sporting goods store bows.
My opinions and nothing more though.

I bought a Darton four years ago. I hunted with it one year & sold it. I killedone mule deer and one antelope with it.
When I sold the bow, I bought a BowTech. The BowTech was lighter, faster & made less noise.
My Darton was still a good solid bow. You know the story, I wanted a new bow so I bought a BowTech.

If you haven't looked at the bowtechs yet, looking at them will make the decision harder. I shot them both at that shop I told you about in the pm and I went with the bbowtech, just felt better. I am actually thinking of buying another bow here soon though. The Darton AS50. Good small bow that I can take stalking, dont have to mess with the way my ally is set up for my 3-d shoots and next year I will be able to give it to my 13 year old son. He shoots a darton ranger III now. So although I really liked the dartons, I liked the bowtech just a little bit more.

Hey Oz,
I too just bought a bowtech, I was seriously considering the darton too but they don't have a dealer in Texaswhere I can put my hands on one. So, i started looking at the local shop and they had bowtech, I really liked the commander, so i was on here and a guy was selling an 07' and I bought it, haven't gotten it yet but will be back in the States mid April to do just that. Good luck buddy, it's a tough decision. Well it was for me, i have been shooting the Darton with the CPS system since they came out in the mid to late 90's.....and I love that bow...
