Not so Quick there BHFool I just said I'd shootem all day side by side through whatever material you wanted and you could post the pics as you please;)

Things aren't always as they seem:D

annika I'd still use the 03 Tricks over anything currentlyon the market. They are that Good, and Gary's customer service has always been second to none. He guarantees total satisfaction or your money refunded, any reason. That's confidence in a product.

This is exactly what you said:

If I am supposed to believe a rib did that, well I'm not buying.
In my eyes you called me a liar, plain and simple, I really don't appreciate that either! Especially coming form Company rep whos Bow I shoot![:'(] I too deal have been dealing with Gary directly for years and he's top notch as is his Customer service! As a matter of a fact I think I give Gary a call Monday and see what he thinks!

I think for the most part we're shooting deer (not steel drums)and I believe the devastation the Rage has shown to inflict on deer (and turkeys, bear and elk) shows you what you need to know. Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words and the pictures that have been posted on the Rage kills are unmatched and undeniably the most devastating.

The true worth of a broadhead is what it does for the purpose it was built for. The Rage does exactly what it was built for. Inflict tremendous damage with huge holes and quick kills and allows for a larger room for error (not to be used for simply flinging arrows).

I'm still trying to find the post where Dan SPECIFICALLY cut down the Rage head...

Not quite sure why everyone is jumping on him, he said he prefers a broadhead with no moving parts as opposed to a mechanical such as a RAGE thathas moving parts andtherefore a chance that those moving parts fail..Never once did I see him sinlge out a RAGE head.

In all honesty I have never seen a group of people so defensive of the product that they shoot as you Rage shooters are. Magnus heads work for me, RAGE heads work for you, we all shoot deer happily ever after.

Dan I don't represent a company in this forum.....and I don't have to worry about such. I speak my mind and always have.

Whether you know it or not....or even care about it.......YOU DO.

It would appear you don't care. I've asked some people "over there" if you had photos of the owners naked. If not....I can't figure out why it's tolerated.

It doesn't affect me, personally.

Jeff you think I can't have opinions on my personal gear? Where have I bashed Rage? I simply stated my preferences and why, really no specifics at first. You guys more or less jump on me. Maybe if I posted all the PM's you have sent me since day one it would be clear to others what your true motives are. The only thing I ever said to you was that you were pretty inexperienced, no slam, just Truth. I guess I really hurt your feelings and for that I'm Sorry. What you accused me of was Not true. The OP asked for people thoughts not just those that used the rage. Heck, I'd hate to count how many I've killed with a three blade Thunderhead after switching from mini blasters because I had problems with them.

Years of experience does come into the equation wether some like it or not.

Post 'em up. It's not like I'm ashamed of them.

"Motives"???? What possible motives could I have when it comes to you? It's pretty simple.....it seems you not only want to express your opinion.....but to belittle others while you're doing so. You did this with Atlasman when he was asking about ordering a product (maybe a bow?????;)).....and it was uncalled for (in several people's opinons). I wondered then why that could be tolerated.....as I do, today.

Dan....really....how much deer hunting experience does it take to realize when a man's constantly trying to make you and others look foolish (and for what reason???)??? I didn't know that was a prerequisite.

I think there was discussion about the Rage's over on Archery Talk yesterday. I didn't see your comments on that thread. Oh.....forgot.....they took care of that problem.;)

To answer the poster question. If you want to try something new, go for it. I tried the rage in 08 and I liked it. I will be using Montec again for deer, but rage for turkeys:D

No, you don't have a bigger cutting diameter with Muzzy.

The cutting diameter of a Rage is 2"
The cutting diameter of Muzzy is 1 1/8"

The four blades give you 2 1/4" cutting surface within the 1 1/8" cutting diameter.

Cutting diameter gives you the size of hole which is important to the actual size of the damage that is inflicted along with better chance for easier blood trails.

I used Montecs for the past couple years with good results. I decided to try the Rage 2 blades this year and they performed flawless for me. Next season I'll be shooting them again. I still like the Montecs for their ability to be sharpened and I will still use them no doubt as they are a great broad headbut the Rage heads are fantastic.

Those of you who have a problem with mechanicals because of the moving parts....I sure hope you use a Whisker Biscuit rest and not a drop away, you know.......with those moving parts and all.

For real!!

I mean come on.....in one breath a mechanical broad head has evil moving parts and that's "Bad", but it's ok to have a rest with far more moving parts?I have to laugh sometimes........

Rage heads are fine, they do the job they are supposed to and they do it very well. I used Spitfires for years along with thunderheads before switching to the Montec/Rage combo so I'm no stranger to mechanicals. I would go back to Spitfires in a New York second if needed, they served me well with no problems either. I did loose some blades over the years with the Thunderheads but they worked good too.

It just makes me laugh how some components can have evil moving parts and others....how dare you even speak of it!:D:D

Like I said BigJ, no beef, just studying. I will probably never try the Rage due to price and not seeing the need, but everyone else can. (No problem) I guess anything could fail in the shot situation. I just don't feel the need to add another variable against myself.
