You know what I get tired of? One group of hunter complaining about the way another group of hunters hunts. WHO GIVES A????

Any deer w/ a bow IS a trophy, NOT a cop out. And to think otherwise is extremely foolish. So what if one guy decides to shoot a forkhorn, and another guy chooses not to shoot anything under 150"? WHO FRICKIN CARES??? That's their decision, and I for one get sick and tired of group A being questioned, no interogated, as to why they do it that way and are wrong.

Some folks need to get down of that high horse their riding.
Amen to that, who really cares what others do? And since when did all these deer that you guys let walk become "your possesion"? I keep hearing that "I let this buck walk by and some other guy shot it". Well, its not your deer in the first place, so it really doesn't have anything to do with you as to what he shoots or doesn't shoot.

The first couple posts are guys upset about being insulted by people who shot small bucks. But they insult the people who shoot small bucks. Deer hunters are becoming one of those groups of people who feel the need to divide and take sides within their own community. I(like a lot of hunters) am a meat hunter who passes on the smaller buck when possible, but doesn't shy away from hunting the deer I can get the closest to me.That's been a wide range of deer, mostly does, some small some medium and a couple big bucks. I'll never fault a QDM'er for passing on smaller bucks, or any hunter who shoots nubs, UNLESS, they start pounding theirchests and telling everyone elsethat they're idiots for hunting the way they do. Hunters put a lot of energy intoscrutinizing the hunting techniques of other hunters, rather than facing real problems hunters AS A WHOLE GROUP face. Let's find ways to stop the declining number of hunters and hunting advocates per capita, rather than circling our wagons and shooting inward.

Great post!
ditto.

What i find funny too, the guys who cheer about QDM, make fun of those who are proud of shooting a mature doe. Am I mistaken, isnt QDM Quality Deer Managment. To them its not, they need to change the name to QAM. Because a mature doe is just as much a prize as a mature buck. Actually, a mature doe is smarter than a mature buck. A buck will rut and loses his mind, a doe doesnt. So there for, a mature doe should be a bigger trophy than a mature buck.

Too bad she doesnt have the head gear.

Ditto, and those who ask I just ignore. I hunt my way, they hunt their way. My favorite movie quotes.

Look, mister, there's... two kinds of dumb, uh... guy that gets naked and runs out in the snow and barks at the moon, and, uh, guy who does the same thing in my living room. First one don't matter, the second one you're kinda forced to deal with.
What i find funny too, the guys who cheer about QDM, make fun of those who are proud of shooting a mature doe.
I bet their not a QDMA member, if so, give me names we will kick them out[8D] It has nothing to do with being a QDMA member, they are just being jerks IMO.
