So much loyalty on display..... This topic pops up every 2 weeks and the same Mathews guys find their way to defend a company that won't even take part in the ATA show.......AGAIN.

Could someone explain why Mathews doesn't attend this show? Do they not want to offer any discounts to dealers? Is it that they don't want to spend the money? Is it Arrogance?

Someone must know.
Gutshot is exactly right. They took the$250,000 they normally spent on this show and put it into thefuture of this sport by helping toget archery back into the school systems through NASP.

Seems pretty noble if you ask me.

As far as discounts to dealers go....who says they (or any other bow manufacturer for than matter) needs to give discounts to dealers. Price the bows, if they sell fine, that's what business and making money is all about. If they didn't sell....you'll see the prices come down.

They (Mathews)make a solid performing bow. When I look at my Switchback, it looks pretty up to date with technology to me. In fact it has components on it that Bowtech didn't have even when it's concepts were being put to use by other companies (roller guide, built in string suppressors, etc..) so I feel they are pretty up to speed with the tech. curve.

Nothing was worse than that cheap (and I do mean cheap) plastic guide slide that Bowtech/Diamond installed on there top of the line bows.[:'(]My Rapture/Techunter slide broke in the first 100 shots and I ended up going with an aftermarket one rather than even bother with another bowtech slide.

No company is perfect and these threads while amusing really don't settle anything.......but I do love posting on them.

i have had a few bows over the last 12 years of my hunting career and mathews without a doubt takes the cake. i started with 2 jennings bows(micro carbon extreme and the buckmaster), then i began to look for a new bow and shot high country, bowtech, hoyt, pse and then mathews and fell in love with the Q2! i then upgraded a couple years later to the switchback, which is what i currently tote. i plan on shooting the new bowtechs, dont like the new hoyts, but i just haven't been able to find anything as nice as the mathews line, you can feel the perfection of the bow as you release the arrow! very smooth and unmatched, i have never liked the recoil involved with a bowtech but some claim they have a more forgiving bow so i suppose i will shoot one to see whether or not the claims add up! But as with many of my hunting buddies and i......mathews is the best!
Obviously, its common for people to like what they shoot! But I really doubt most people could say they objectively shot that many bows looking for the one that felt best to them, so this post really sums it all up for me, because bhunter50 is basing his opinion that Mathews is the best on real experience, rather than the fact that is what he shoots.

Slightly faster IBO if the specs are correct. I am not aware of anyone who has this bow in hand yet...so some speculation is involved.

Just another failed attempt to discredit a fine bow and company. Maybe somebody will bring up that they don't like the grip again. Keep tryin'...

Hey guys, I don't really like the big wooden grips on the mathews bows. Think they will ever do anything about it.[8D]

No other Bow Manufacturer has been more innovative than Mathews! What they've brought to the archery industry in the past decade has been amazing, and in my mind, there is no comparison..... Mathews is the best!!!
I agree.

Who was it that came out with the first solo-cam bows? Mathews... And who has copied that idea? Everyone...

Who was it that came out with parallel limbs? Mathews...and who has copied that idea? Everyone...

Who was it that came out with the vibration dampners? Mathews... and everyone has copied that too.

You cant tell me that Mathews hasnt come out with anything innovative in a while, since they have been the founding father of modern bows for the last decade. Solo-cam, parallel limb, dampners, string supressors... the list goes on and on.

Very true, but now other companys are passing them up with technology.

Technology? Its a bow, not a space station!

Bowtech puts a goofy lookin center pivot thingy on their bow and suddenly they think they are the best! puh. Adjustable cams are just one more thing to break in my opinion... I already know what my #'s are, I dont need no stinkin adjustments. Mathews bows are like custom suits, you dont go to Walmart and buy a one size fits all tuxedo do you?? So why would you buy a one size fits all bow? You just get "close", I would like mine to be "exact".

Hoyts got to be the ugliest bow in the world! They plug in some dampners in the riser, (how original ) and now they think they are the best!? Bull butter!

Hoyt and Bowtech are good bows absolutely, but I dont think they hold a candle to Mathews.
