After the post last week hammering Mathews for not coming out with anything earth shattering this year I went on the Hoyt and Bowtech websites to see what innovations that they've come up with and I've didn't see anything on either site that impressed me. Now I'm a "Mathews fanboy" and always will be but why isn't anybody slamming these other companies for their lack of innovation this year? Bring it on fella's

Let's just put it this way.....
I own a 2005 Switchback as we speak (actually....I think I sold it, yesterday
) and a 2007 Allegiance.
If there's a man that can SHOOT the new general and ANY Mathews....and tell me without conviction that he's gonna buy the Mathews, ANYWAY......
I have NO PROBLEM labeling him a fanboy. There is NO COMPARISON. If you love Mathews bcause they've been great bows and you just Like them...NO problem. Brand loyalty is commendable. But I don;t think you can shoot both and tell me the Mathews is a better bow. Thats my honest opinion.

Hoyt doesn't seem to have done squat..........and Bowtech mixed stuff we have already seen on Mathews (roller cable) and Hoyt and others (String bumper).
I don't think anyone has anything "new" this year.
I'm sure they are all great bows though. Where they are coming up with the price hike is a mystery to me. What are we paying for again??

If Mathews would come up with a longer riser bow then I would get another one. PSE did the same thing. They made 3 or 4 differant version's of the X- Force. I hear A.R. has a good one coming out.

First let me say I like Mathews bows, they sell a good product. However I wouldn't say the have not come out with anything new "this year". I would say they have not come out with anything unique in the past 5 years. For being an innovator they seem to be in a bit of a rut.
My opinion anyway.

Just like last year they come out with a bow that took like 1/2" off of the limb width and completely change their limb pockets and all that people talked about was price. I guess that's all that they could knock so that's what they always fall back to.

Price doesn't meanthat much,to me. All the top end bows are similarly priced. If I find a better bow than the one I'm shooting....I'll pay for the upgrade (if it indeed costs more). I don't see that in the marketplace. I was a Mathews supporter and still think they make a fine bow. But....the Allegiance was faster.....same weight.....and no more $$.
