It states that Mathews built the first prototype of a solo-cam bow, (this is of course a compound bow)
That should be worded, the prototype of their solo-cam...ie the name of their bow at the time the Mathews Solocam....not the first single cam, they did not invent the very first single cam.

It was worded as a "Solo cam". This whole time. Not once I have called it a single cam or unicam or anything else.

I noted that I noticed that if you agreed with the disagree then how can you disagree with the agreed so noted......So here is my notice.....If the bow fits wear it,if not try and try again, sooner or later you will notice a bow that agreeably fits.
I like my Dren,I like my Browning(old),I like my Martin's and I like my other bows too..So keep on agreeing to diagree we all find our perfect fitting bow/s sooner or later...

Ive shot bows for 24 yrs now and have seen alot of changes,Iam not a techy when it comes to bows,I do/have tried alot of differant things,I dont weight my arrows, matter of fact all I do is set up my bow/s to fit me and shoot and do it well from experiance.I dont care if you shot brand A,B,C,D,E,F same goes for arrows. All that matters to me is that people are learning from this.
I find post like this good reading and educational and last but not least entertaining.....

MOPO?

Is that an acronym for a dirty phrase to call me? or am I just jumping to conclusions? I am sure its just my imagination...

And I did note that you noted the first bow was noted as a dren, well noted I may note. [&:]

Listen to Rick James....I have read most of this thread and not learned one thing about any company that has changed my outlook on anything in the archery business. I did however see a bunch of HUNTERS arguing to no avail about a subject that gets beat into the ground countless times each year. The only good purpose I have found from this thread is the comical value from a few that take things to close to the heart.

I could really care less what some bow company was doing 5 years ago, 20 years ago, or yesterday. To me I am going to shoot what feels good in my hand and what I have success with. To me that has been a Mathews for the past 3 seasons now. I have shot other brands, and liked some but have never found enough reason to justify spending more money to replace my Switchback.

Shoot your bow, if youlike it then keep it. If you don't then your not shooting a Mathews..all kidding aside, and i quote Rick James..Can we lay this to rest now?

lol well in this case, solocam is nothing more than a name. i guess id be makinga statement as well by saying hoyt was the first to manufacture "Vetrix" bows and bowtech was the first to manufacture "Patriot" bows. means about the same thing.

All you hear about is mathews being the first at nearly everything and being copied by everyone. well rob has just broken this theory into one million pieces.

I just LOVE when people defend modern day mathews bows with the " they were the innovators nearly two decades ago![:'(]" how on earth does that play into whether they are better currently than another company? even if they were the first(which they werent) this doesnt make them the best now.

Most bows are defended by brand loyalty rather than innovations or specs, including hoyt and others not just mathews.
