Menominee County, MI (U.P.) sighting. Neighbor got a late start for an evening hunt and decided to do some scouting over a small clover plot behind his farmhouse (100 yards from back door). Afterviewing a few skittish does approaching the clover, he noticed movement on an inside corner andglassed (what he thought to be) a bedded doe moving its head in the shadows. Watching intermittently for approx 10 minutes, the animal stood-up and worked its way into the corner of the field. In the failing light, he thought to himself that it was a large wolf, until it turned broadside and he saw its long tail. He proceeded to glass the cat as it stalked for another 20-30 yards before shooting after a doe. When questioned directly whether it was a bobcat, etc he confidently pointed to the full-body mount of a Colorado lion (on our cedar rafter) and simply stated, "no one will convine me otherwise - that is exactly what I saw!" Good enough for me.

I haven't seen one, but I believe I heard one while putting up my stand at 5:30 am a few weeks ago (alone, with only a bow
) in the mountains of Virginia (Rockingham County). Sounded likeit was about 40 or 50 yards ahead of me in the dark. Screamed so loud it almost hurt my ears, which is why I think it was a mountian lion (and, yes, I know a coyote when I hear one...I hear them almost every timeI hunt that mountain). Scared the heck out of me, but I went ahead and hunted the stand all day. Only saw two deer all day in that stand[&:]. I know two other people who have seen a mountain lion on this same mountain. One of em ran alll the way down the mountain when he heard it
