New hunter here....trying to figure out what days you guys think would be better to take off work and hunt. Thursday/Friday Nov 1st/2nd or the following week, the 8th/9th? I'm in New Jersey and the weather looks like its gonna be cooling down this week. Thanks.

Delay the decision as long as possible. Then check the forecast for Nov 1,2. If the weather looks like good deer hunting weather then go the first weekend. If it looks like horrible weather, then wait another week.

It really depends on your area, but this year i would think the 8/9th would be better...
Either way i would try to get out as much as possible those first two weeks of november!

All depends on your area. Some years my area is good one particular weekend then the next year its a week sooner or later then the previous year!

In PA or NJ? I'd say first weekend, if that cold front comes through. Remember that moon phase will have its effect here around oct 26th. Just my opinion. Good luck either way!

I'm not only betting on the fisrt and second, I'll be there. Plan on a powerful good time from the 28 of Oct-Nov.2. Next sunday baby, I'll be in heaven.
There are so many things trying to keep me from going. Happens every year. This year has topped all others. Fortunetly, I have the best woman in the world. You know those songs about some memory of a lost love long ago. I married her and she is all that and more even after giving me six kids.
Some times when I've been gone a while, in a stand, cold and alone, the thought of her and the kids is almost overpowering.
