Is any time a good time to hunt a green field?

I'd say evening. Only because I have a food plot full of winter wheat, and see them in there many times in the evening, but never in the am.

I hunted Ft Campbell ,KYWMA for two yrs while I was stationed there. I saw tons of deer every time I hunted a green grass field (approx. 35 acres). I saw deer both morning and evening, but I saw more bucks in the evening. There was also a lot of deer bedding around the edges.

Where I hunt the only source of green food in the fall is the winter wheat fields. You will find the mule deer there almost any time of day if there is cover close by. Otherwise, they come up in the evening to feed on these fields. They will go back to cover shortly after daylight as a rule.
