Default Tekan II, what do ya think.

Hey guys, I'm new to the site but already this is one of the best forum site that i've seen.
Anyways,,, I'm wonsdering if anyone has the G5 tekan II. I am going to be heading to colorodo with the bow to try and stick an Elk and I was looking at these broadheads as an option. I like that they have the cut-on-contacttip and the slide in place blades but I'm not sure how well they will work. Any thoughts?

I would stick with a fixed blade for elk. But ive heard the tekans are a good broadhead on deer.

Id go with a fixed foir elk. Maybe even cut on contact. Look into G5's other heads.

I'd go with a Montec for Elk

I killed a doe with the tekan's and I did not like them at all. The cut on contact is true 3/4" but the blades dont open till inside. No blood at all I double lunged her she went 30 yards I had 1 drop of blood. Very small hole. If you want an expandable go with the Rage you wont be disapointed. I also shot the fixed blade Shuttle's they are awsome. Killed a deer huge blood trial and still sharp as ever. If you look at the blades on these shuttles the are turned so they fly true and also make a big hole cause they turn the hide and rip it as they go threw! So no seal over of the hide!

I shot a doe with the Tekan II last year and no blood trail. Thankfully I saw her drop. Also the point gets damaged very easily. I switched back to my Thunderheads.
