Default Peep Sight Question

I recently switched from a 1/8 inch peep sight to a 3/16 ind peep sight. I switched to get a little more light into the sight picture, it seems to help a lot.

What size sight do you use for 3D and hunting whitetails?

Thanks!

I use a 1/4 inch peep sight.I like it because you can see better in low light. The only hard part about a big peep sight is that it is more difficult to put your pin directly in the center of it when you shoot. That is the disadvantage of shooting a big peep rather than a smaller one.

I shoot a larger peep and align my peep with my pin guard. I then shoot wherever the pin is. I don't have to center it in the peep.

i use a 1/4" peep also. the smaller ones just take away too much of the view of the deer or target, too small of a sight window. it pretty much matches my sight ring, and i'llconcentrate on thehot spot of the deerand your eyes naturally do the rest to center things up.

Mine don't....if you're speaking of centering the pin in the peep. I align the peep and the sight pin guard. I don't center the pin in the peep.

Exactly. With my single pin HHA, that pin is always centered. I use a 1/4" Fletcher peep.

I use the larger peep also. When I draw and anchor the kisser button in the corner of my mouth the bright Toxonic sight ring fits perfectly just inside my field of view through the peep.
