peep sight question
I currently have a 3/16" peep sight which is "served" between 3 strands of the string. I was thinking of getting a "no-lose" peep which is attached by 2 strands and in a smaller size (1/8"). The pro-shop says they are a bit tedious to set up, so I may still go with the 3 strand version. Whghat do people think about the no lose peeps (function, set up, etc.) and my tought of going with smaller peep? (the reason for the no lose is to eliminate the annoying 3rd string that can obstruct your view and my main reason for the smaller peep is i believe it wil get my groups a little tighter - I know that it can also reduce low light visability).
ps - Don't bother mentioning the tube style peeps - not gonna go with one of those anyway.
Thanks

RE: peep sight question
That no lose peep looks very much like the above mentioned Shurz a Peep 4x4. The problem I have with both is that, sure, there is not a third string to obstruct your view on occasion but what happens when the peep rotates in such a way that now you have half of the strings blocking your view instead of just a third?
The No-lose peep does reduce the field of view that is obstructed by the string but if you happen to have it turn in such a way that you end up looking through one of the two clusters of strands on either side then you will have a more difficult time seeing anything in comparison to looking through one of the three strands with the SAP.
As for the smaller aperature.....I prefer larger for hunting. Smaller holes are fine in my opinion for target but they can greatly restrict the amount of light that reaches your eye in any hunting situation...especially in low light. I would prefer that you rather used a rounded pin guard and just kept your round pin guard centered in the middle of the peep. Same effect but no loss in the amount of light that reaches your eye.

RE: peep sight question
IMO the 3 stranders are junk.
Always something in your way
The 2x2 has been the best peep I have used yet.
Get it right and your view is 100% free and clear and they make em with big holes.
When I shoot spots I switch it out for a small holed 1x1
