Ryan, obviously Team 1 has scored the first buck of the contest. The shooter posted the story here sometime ago. Also, someone else scored his first, I forget whom, wasn't it in California?

More seasons will pick up and I look forward to the stories and pics.

Yes, Rob....someone from California whacked a mulie buck, but I don't think he's in the contest, and I'll be darned if I can remember whom it is....

All I've killed lately is some time and a lot of foam, getting ready for a state 3D shoot... But I plan on sticking some pigs in about three weeks, and hopefully some Axis soon after that.

Opening day, August 18 at 1:15 pm I laid down a young buck. Yes I am in California and no I am not on a team. I did however score with a one in a billion shot. It was deflected by a small branch and went through and through the skull, just behind and below the eye on each side. He went only 20 feet. I just picked him up from the game processor and will have some of him for dinner tomorrow. I wish all of you the best of luck and hope you all fill your tags. I have one more deer tag to fill and a bear tag too. I will be out in the field again this weekend and you just never know. I hate that the season is so early out here in CA but what can you do? I make the best of it anyway.
Good luck and may you not miss,
