Scent Lok Storage
#51
Jeff,
Maybe it will help you understand it this way. If you start with a freshly laundered and reactivated siut. Then store it in scent wafers. The carbon will adsorb the scent as well as the outside fibers of the camo. The camo "holds the smell and does not allow the smell to "pass through the SL".
remember that the odor has to pass through the SL in a gaseous form. The SL does not reach out and grab a stray scent.
If you reactivate the suit after storage in the scent wafers you COULD have some residual smell on the camoand the carbon will adsorb your odors.
I'm going to the woods now...you made my head hurt.

GMAT,
What we are saying is that it is IGNORANT to store a "scent free" garment with a scent wafer. It defies all logic... The point is to be scent free.... The company specifically recommends not to do it.

3.) Should I use a scent cover spray on my ScentBlockerĀ® suit?
You may use cover scents while hunting, but don't spray them on your ScentBlockerĀ® garment. You will be defeating your purpose, as the carbon will adsorb much of this odor, and there will be less adsorption capacity for human odor. Same concept applies when you store your ScentBlockerĀ® clothing in with dirt, leaves, etc.
I know it bothers you that we have pointed out that you are doing it wrong, get over it, you are wrong. Man, you're getting as bad as Atlas.

I think I understand just fine what you're saying
Perfect. Best of both worlds.

So let me get this straight. I'm not supposed to spray my camo with Scent killer?? The fabric of the camo absorbs odors too and I'm supposed to rely mainly on the inner lining? So I'm supposed to wash and dry my suit and haul ass to get it in a scent fee bag or tote and do this every time i wanna hunt?
