Ok i go to get my knee surgery monday and deer is already over.
Rabbit and squrrial soon i cleaned my new shotgun mossberg 500 for the first time. I have it hanging on my wall in my room and am wondering for storage. Can i over oil it and what is the best way to insure it does not rust hanging up there till next season

RE: storage
If its a wood stock yes you can over oil it, sometimes resulting in cracking the stock. But if you put it in a gun cabinet and you are concerned bout moisture then place a few brickets of charcoal in a open container in the cabinet.

I would wipe it down with an oily cloth to get rid of the fingerprints and unless you live in a very humid climate not worry about it.
