Default begginer question about arrows

Well, ive been practiceing with just the cheapest arrows i could find (aluminumeaston fall stalkers)but, i want to get some good arrows to hunt with. Ive been looking around and im just plain confused. Theres so much variety and so many arrows out there how do you know which one is best? How do you guys choose what arrow to shoot? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks, redneck.

Whether to go with carbon or aluminum is a personal choice. Generally speaking, aluminum will weigh more and, generally speaking again, are a bit less expensive than carbons of the same tolerances. The downside to aluminum; they bend.

Carbon generally weigh less and are a smaller diameter, so you can gain quite a bit of speed. They aren't necessarily light either, though. Good carbon arrows do cost a little, but even though most folks don't want to hear this, it's money well spent. Don't buy into the "it's either good or broke" theory though with carbons.....That just ain't always true, though they are more durable.

I shoot carbon, Carbon Express to be more precise. Very durable, excellent arrows.

Whatever you do......I'm almost begging here, please, please PLEASE get the absolute best arrows you can afford. If there's one thing worth spending the extra money on, it's arrows.

What's your setup?

Easton Epic's are good arrows for the price.

Carbon Express Terminators are also a good value.

When I made the switch to Carbons, it was the best thing I did.

I agree with the above responses...It's more of a personal choice, that being said, you want to get the arrows that fit your bow set up and what you want to do with them, tarjet only, hunting only, both, 3D, etc...

Also, check this site, has very god info...

I shoot Gold Tips and ICS as well...

Not much help here, but I am shooting an older model Bear, (10 years old) and found that it shoots alum arrows better then carbon. Not sure why but it does. It held a tighter shot group with the aluminums.
