i like the predator, best thing for persons in the west still hunting mostly open country....but i really wish they would put it in a better pair of pants.....the pants they have now are not ideal for a july or august archery hunt in CA....just my 2cents....

Not that these guys killed all of these deer due to ASAT, but I just love this photo. Not a bad resume. Off of asatcamo.com

Thanks WKP,

Looks real good for tree hunting after leaves drop. There's always something on here that makes me want to spend money. [:@]

Intrusion treeline works as well in early season as late. Remember, the sky is always there. If leaves are still on the trees, they are blocking you just like they are blocking the sky. But again, the most important thing is to BREAK THE EDGE, which is what makes intrusion superior - larger "chunks", which doesn't "blob" up at a distance.

The reason you don't see any of these camo patterns in stores is because NONE of them market their product like Mossy Oak and RealTree. None of them are on the Outdoor Channel, None of them have full page ads in magazines, None of them have famous hunters using their product, etc... etc... etc... The only place I have everseen ASAT or Predator on televison is on Double Bull Outdoors...

I never see Predator, ASAT, Skyline, Sticks and Limbs, or any of the other open pattern camo companies anywhere except for small 1/8th page ads in magazines andI get a bunch of magazines sent here.

I would LOOOOOVE to stock ASAT and Predator here but very very few people know about it and I never have any one ask for it.

ASAT and Predator, if you are listening.......
SPEND SOME MONEY ON ADVERTISING AND MARKETING and we'll stock it!!!!!!!!!

I know this sounds a little brash but if the consumers don't see it advertised every where they aren't going to buy it. Regardless of how well it works. Take a page out of Mathews book.

Todd beat me to it... You can buy it at www.graywolfwoolens.com

You bring upsomething that I've heard said many times in my discussions of Predator and its effectiveness -- specifically, Fall Gray.

Looks real good for tree hunting after leaves drop.
Todd basically said the same thing, but think about it this way... if it looks that good without leaves, limbs and other assorted foliage to help break it up, then how good will it look WITH all that stuff to assist it? The mark of how good a camo pattern is to me is not to see how good it looks stuck up in a tree in the early season with a four-foot tree trunk directly behind the wearer and globs of leaves breaking up parts of the human outline... Of course it better look good then! Let me see how it looks with NO leaves on the trees, and when the hunter is skylighted without a trunk behind him.

If it can pass that test, I KNOW it'll look good and work just as effectively in the early season.

To that point, I've worn Fall Gray MANY, MANY times when the woods -- and especially the canopy surrounding me -- in early fall was bright green. It's JUST as effective then as it is when the leaves drop. I didpick up somePredator Spring Green last year, but that was merely to hide me from human passers-by while hunting public lands, NOT for the deer I was hunting.

The Intrusion pictured above will accomplish the same thing -- maybe even better (which is why I'm taking a long look at it) -- be it either late OR early season.

bigbulls,

You are right on. I don't understand it.
I can see how these companes might sit back and think that people can see through all that,
after all, "Real hunters wear ASAT." But if you don't get your message out there,
then people don't know about it.

MAYBE, its that they like their size and are making plenty of money.
As they see it they would rather put money into making better products.
That is great, but if these were publicly traded companies, acquired by a bigger outfit,
or run for maximum profit, I would be willing to be that the advertising budget would be the
first thing that would be addressed.

OR MAYBE, its because they like their niches and if everyone was running
around in ASAT or Predator it would lose its cachet value,
e.g. "I'm a serious hunter who wears ugly but effective camo, not because I
see it in a mag or someone famous wears it."
