We ALL do this EACH AND EVERY TIME we seek advice from someone. When I need to know how a concrete mix design performs in marginal placement temps.....I go to the guys in my indstry that have experience with the subject matter at hand. I don't poll the other managers I work with andtake a "just use 4,000 and let 'er rip".
I agree100%.....

Please don't speak for me...........ever. I would never ask a question in a public forum and make a bunch of guys waste their time giving answers I had no interest in just to get to read what a select chosen few have to say. If you don't care what anyone but your chosen few have to say then just PM them and stop wasting everyone elses time.

If everyone were honest with themselves.....they'd see that this is what EVERYONE seeking advice or technical insight does.
That is the most rediculous thing I have ever read...........I ask open questions here all the time.........and I read each and every reply and lend no greater value to one over another based on what I think of that persons hunting abilities................that is just stupid.

Do I respect everyone's OPINION? YES! Why wouldn't I?
You just said earlier in this thread that you had no interest in what people's answers were to this and that's why you didn't do a poll............because you didn't care what was said if you couldn't read who was saying it. That is a complete LACK of respect.

WHY is this hard to understand? I NEVER claimed to be among the elite in bowhunting. Never. I'd be a FOOL to not seek out their expertise, though. Wouldn't I?
You think you're talking to the "elite" in bowhunting here and at your shop?

I'm asking EVERYONE.
But you're only interested in answers from the "elite"

Here's some words ......RIGHT out of YOUR mouth, Atlas.

I have no problems ignoring you............yet you still follow me around like a lost puppy.
Who's fooling who, here. I posted this thread. I asked you to not respond if you had nothing informative to add.....and YOU simply want to start arguments. I'v ebeen saying this for a LONG time, now.

Heed your OWN words, pup.

You two knock it off.....we dont want to read you fighting, we just want to read who shoots what
Speak for yourself. I am thoroughly entertained and getting some interesting perspectives on what rests people prefer too.

Now, I'll throw in my own 2 pennies for fun:

To me this thiking is flawed. When I am seeking advice from people I want expert opinions. That doesn't mean I don't respect everyone else's opinion, but I will put more stock in someone that is experienced rather than a new person. For example, I would have more emphasis on something that Davidmil or Len had to say rather than some of our young teenage members. That not a knock on the young guys, but Len and David have over 200 deer between them easily. To me that makes their opinion a little more valuable.

OK, back to the fun.

Don't forget to tell the whole story champ Did I or did I not ignore you for about a YEAR............and did you do the same, or did you continually post barbs at me trying to provoke me out of silence??

I believe your reply was

Oh I never said I had to refrain from anything.

Hilarious considering your above quote

Let the record show that my veins aren't popping out of my forehead.

I don't have carpal tunnel from retrieving quotes so quickly.

And....I can't even post on my OWN thread without being harrassed.

Here ya go, "champ"....the rest of this one is yours, too. Have fun.

I..........and many others have gotten some PM's from you that indicate otherwise

You're horrible at playing the victim..........(to people who know you better )

When you post a thread that is insulting to many members here and get called on it.............it's not being harrassed. If you only care what certain people say then don't ask everyone...........ask them. It's rude and a big waste of time.

Here's what I said to PT in another thread:

If you have a poll that asks 100 baseball players.....this question:

What's the hardest thing about hitting a slider?

Their choices are:

No. 1 - Picking up the rotation
No. 2 - Keeping your weight back

Now...you get the results.....and the results say 77 to 23 that No. 1- Picking up the rotation .....is the hardest thing about hitting a slider. You'd think you had your answer now, wouldn't you???

But the facts are......74 of your "baseball players" were little leaguers.....and 28 of them were pitchers.

Now.....you realize you ONLY had 9 college and Professional players in your control group.....and 3 of them were pitchers.

WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED?

Nothing.

If I'd wanted to PM everyone "I thought had pertinent information for my poll.....you'd have ridiculed me for singling out some members and for omitting others. I couldn't win, either way. But why do YOU care, Atlas? Why not let people respond if they want to....and not respond if they didn't want to. I don't KNOW everyone here.....and that's why I asked EVERYONE.

There's NO WAY you don't call me out, either way.....and everyone knows that. I'm willing to let everyone make their own decisions and take WHATEVER they want to from ANY poll.

Why did you respond if you thought it was baseless? We both know the real answer to that question, don't we .

I'm sorry I overlooked this response to the above....because it's SPOT-ON!

It's HONEST, too......

How horrible it must be for you to have to sift through all the comments by "little leaguers" just to find the few select elite ones that are worthy of your consideration.

If I'd wanted to PM everyone "I thought had pertinent information for my poll.....you'd have ridiculed me for singling out some members and for omitting others. I couldn't win, either way.

No I wouldn't have............I would have never known about it.

But why do YOU care, Atlas?
Because it is VERY insulting to many members here for you to say that you don't care What people say but rather WHO is saying it. You're wasting everyone's time who try to respond to your comment thinking they are helping you or that you at least care what they have to say.

Why did you respond if you thought it was baseless? We both know the real answer to that question, don't we .
See above.
