ORIGINAL: GMMAT

That is the most rediculous thing I have ever read...........I ask open questions here all the time.........and I read each and every reply and lend no greater value to one over another based on what I think of that persons hunting abilities................that is just stupid.
I'm sorry I overlooked this response to the above....because it's SPOT-ON!

To me this thiking is flawed. When I am seeking advice from people I want expert opinions. That doesn't mean I don't respect everyone else's opinion, but I will put more stock in someone that is experienced rather than a new person. For example, I would have more emphasis on something that Davidmil or Len had to say rather than some of our young teenage members. That not a knock on the young guys, but Len and David have over 200 deer between them easily. To me that makes their opinion a little more valuable.
It's HONEST, too......

So why should anyone ever respond to one of your questions then........knowing that there is a good chance you will totally dismiss their opinion because you don't regard them as an "expert"?

OK, then, Atlas....we can do it your way.

Start a poll on what it takes to get close and get a shot at a mature whitetail buck.......say 3.5 yr old and older. Tell me you wouldn't weigh the comments, based on the poster (it's NATURAL).

For ****s and giggles.....why not post up your experiences to start us off on the right foot. I'm sure EVERY member will be on the edge of their seats at your response......and will put JUST as much credence in YOUR answer as they do gregH; Len; Davidmil and germs.

Atlas....this board isn't a popularity contest. They don't know. If they care that much....they can CLICK and pass.

Are you saying you'd take the Little League pitcher's advice on how to hit the slider? you'd lend it JUST as much credence as the ML hitter?

Honestly?????

Who wants to click and pass the thread? This is entertaining. I'm with turtleshell, though. Are you guys related? If not, you have more in common than you realize.

Related or dating. Don't stop though its much more fun to read this than the same old boring threads. I have to say though that I do agree with a lot that Atlas says.

Then explain this to me, Turtle....

According to Atlas....you're playing No. 12 at Augusta.....and your playing partners are a 20hcp who plays 4 times a year.....and a 9 yr old that's never played. You ask everyone which club they think you ought to hit.....and the CONSENSUS is a driver.

You're a scratch player....and Phil Mickelson (your other playing partner) is going with a nine.

Do you hit driver?

If not....you've WEIGHED your responses (based on the expertise of the individual advice given) and you'll make your decision on that. You still grabbing that head cover????
