RE: getting permission
Dress nice, and be respectable. Tell them where you are from. Where/if you go to school. Ask them if anyone is currently hunting on their property. If someone is, ask who and if they are hunting with bow or gun. Finally let them know that you are a responsible and safe person and that you have an interest in hunting their property.

RE: getting permission
If its a farm ask if they could use some assistance maybe getting hay in or with some other chores in the summer, it will give You time to see fence lines hedgerows and look for sign, there should be some way in wich You could earn Your priveledges, maybe lawn workhouse repairs, gotta be something,, it helps...Ron

All that is said on here is great advise so far, i will usally introduce myself tell them alittle about me and then ask for bow hunting only. Land owners dont seem to be as afraid to let bowhunters as they are a gun hunter, then once you get to know them and maybe help out alittle around the farm they see you are trust worthy and you never know where it will go from there.
