I called one in by doing a growl and snort wheeze with my voice alone (no call). I tried it again and the next buck just walked away. They have to be in the mood.

You have about 3 day window this call will work, if you hit it right it will work.

Like Motown said I would rather hunt a funnel or bedding area and keep quiet!!

The question you have to ask yourself is how many am I spooking by using it?

Heres the deal with that particular call, if you watch the mini DVD they provide with the call, they are using it in a controlled enviorment where there is lots of pressure from other bucks. Now I don't know about you guys but you know the pros have every advantage when it comes to that land and most of us arn't that lucky to hunt where there are that many bucks competing for does. I do think that the call would work better if we could hunt like they do. personally i think that if you use a quality buck grunt, snort/wheeze, and the right scent patterns you will do just fine!

I actually had some luck with mine, and I was extremely skeptical of the call. I had a buck that locked up at about 75 yards...grunted at him with my grunt call and he wouldn't come any closer. There was about 5 minutes of shooting light left, so I decided to growl....he laid his ears back, postured and stepped back and forth, and then came right in. It worked for me, on that particular deer, but I am still not going to sing its praises. I'll trust my grunt call over it 100% of the time.

I had one work for me.The Primos Roar. Called in a nice 8 point the 1st day I ever used it. Like any call it won't work every time. The situation has to be right. I'm sure another call might have had the same results. I love to call, whether it be turkey, deer or predators. It makes me feel like I have truely fooled the animal. That is just me. I also love gadgets and trying new things. Some work and some don't. It makes it fun for me!! I do feel like I called in both bucks that I killed this year. Both nice 8 points. Good luck. Keep us posted.
