Greg - congrats on your buck from up North. My dad just got back from the Spooner area today and he didn't get squat! Only saw 2 deer the whole weekend!
In any case, I really think he's a year and a half old deer with good genetics. Just got back from the butcher shop where I donated him to the Hunter's Feeding The Hungry program and they weighed him at 122 lbs dressed out so I'm guessing 150 on the hoof.
Regardless of size or score or age, I told myself I wasn't going to shoot a buck unless I was going to put him on the wall, so off to the taxidermist he goes! That will be my reminder to double-check the size of his rack before shooting next time!
