My 0-20 yard pin is only a couple of inches low at 30 yards.
Ditto.. this is about what I experience too; possibly three inches low, but right around there.

Windwalker, I'd say that Diamond Victory would be spitting hunting-weight arrows around 280.... (something more like 6 - 6.5 grains per lb.) I've got to say that I'll be jealous if you get a Victory; I'd really like to have one of those.

theres no way its shooting 296 with a 60# draw weight, i mean no way

I would look at huntersfriend if you arent gonna shoot them first, you an get some great deals there, i mean great delas they tune it and everything. Check them out at www.huntersfriend.com

Well, I went ahead and bought the Victory. I figure I'll seel the rifle to make up for it. This way I'll get to hunt with it.

I really like this bow. I'll spend sunday tinkering around with it and hunt with it next week. I have mon, tue, and wed off work.

By the way. here is the " Birth Certificate"

I shoot a 06 Allegiance this is right at 300fps and I use a 3 pin sight. Sighted in 30, 40 and 50. Inside 30 yards and I am 1-2" lower depending on the distance.

Good luck with that Diamond Victory. That's one sweet shooter. Don't be fooled by the speed on that birth certificate. That is a bare bow with a bare string. You can expect to lose 20+ fps by the time you get the bow all loaded up.

Actually, BowTech's specs are obtained with a factory-installed brass nock on the string, plus the Hush Kit (including the string silencers)...

Any other manufacturer out there would take these off before testing its bows to pick up the extra 5-8 fps BowTech actually loses by leaving these on. Obviously, you'll lose speed when you shoot a heavier arrow; you can figureapproximately 1 fps will be lost for every 3 grains ofadditional arrow weight you add.

Windwalker

I am shooting a Hoyt Trykon 29" at 66lbs with a 419gr arrow at 272fps. This is a Vital Bow Gear site, with pins set dead on a 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 yards.

Just thought this would give you an idea.

I'm claiming bull on 1 pin. You all should list exactly what distance your one pin is set at and you should also mention that you need to hold high or low at nonexact distances.

GregH is correct, I don't care how fast your bow is set, you cannot shoot one pin out to 30 yards without compensating high or low on other distances. And if you claim I'm wrong, I'd love to shoot against you for money.
I'd have to agree with Rob here. I started out shooting with just one pin the first year I bow hunted holding high/low at different distances. I also ended up missing a couple of deer and I'd say at least in part because of just having one pin. Sure one can shoot accuratly with one pin out to 30 yards but for me I like my arrow weight to be arround 425 and set my pins at 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 yards and I'd recommend multipins.

One pin on my Hoy Razertech.31" draw 70Lbs my cosmic sight pin is set for dead on @20 and if I aim hard @ 30 yards I hold for center lung and I'm there.10 yards under my stand I aim for the back lung.

Well you can shoot one pin out to whatever distance you want, but it's going to require adjustment. My buddy shoots a High Country Max Extreme loud piece of crap something rather. Itshoots about the same speed and makes as much noiseas my ruger .243 (okay not really, but it's around 320fps)and it still can't use a single pin out to 30 yards even with an arrow that weighs 5 grains/lb.

I got to shoot it this morning. All I can say is....WOW!!!

I went with a 3 pin Truglow. I have it roughly sighted in up to 40yds. This isn't a top of the line sight but I like it.

I have about an 1/8" gap between 20 and 30. And 30 and 40.

I realize I'm not shooting 296fps with peep and tubing and heavier arrows. But this bow shoots really nice. I am impressed. While it's not in the league of Switchbacks, Trykons, or Allegiance's, it is awesome compared to the 1996 Proline Mountain Bow I have.

I have to run a few errands and then I'll be shooten some more. This is actually a fun bow to shoot.

Thanks for all the input.

I'm already shooting much tighter groups with it than my old bow.
