Yeah, I have a nice big pelican head lamp that I bought just for the purpose of a night recovery. But we just moved here so I haven't made any friends that could have helped me recover him quickly. I am happy with my choice. Thanks for wishing me luck...I hope I get another chance.

wow...I'm not sure what I would have done in your situation! I've yet to get my first deer with a bow--and passing up a buck would have been pretty tough! Though, you did say he was a lil' basket rack; and I know there are some bigger ones where I hunt...wow, that would be a tough call!
