Its hard for them to run far in a pen. And the animels Ted shoots think he is coming to feed them,Slam a truck door or just bang on a five gallon bucket and they all come a runnin.

What a guy!

Let me just say I really like Teds music... But music isnt the topic here. I myself feel he has went way overboard on his TV show. I wont watch it anymore. I believe he trys to send out a goodmessage thru his efforts with the NRA. I just have lost respect for him by watching his TV show. I thought his show would excite me. No it sure doesnt.

The Nuge Rocks! I may not know every aspect of the man's personnal life, and I don't care to. From what I have seen on Spirit of the Wild, Ted is ok with me(except for the unethical shot he took atthe fawn). Heis one of themost vocaladvocates for the sport we all love.

For the record my wife thinks he's a whack job; sorry Ted you can't win them all.

The man is unethical on tv in front of millions ofpeople ,what do you think he does when the camaras aren't running. What do you think nonhunters think of him orof real hunters.

And yes Ted owns twohigh fenced farms in Mi.& Texas both.

Killen & grillen or wackem & stackem are botha great way to convert nonhunters.

You'd think a man with that much money would spend time hunting deer instead of putting them in a pen and killing them.

He will be president of PETA before he runs the N.R.A. I hope.

IMHO, Ted is a complete wingnut that will endorse just about anything. Furthermore, it seems to me that 99% of his hunts are inside a fence. I have hunted boars inside a fence and it was fun, but that seems to be all the guy does, for EVERYTHING HE HUNTS. I think the man is a legend in his own mind, and needs to cut down on his use of adjectives. Is he doing anything wrong or illegal? No, just not my kind of guy.

That kind of sums it up for me also.He is not my kind of guy.I respect his out spokenness in a way.The fact that he is a real advocate for hunting, but his message loses creedance with the way he conveys it.If many of us as hunters are turned off by his radical nature than it is really likely that the effect is even more so with the non hunting community.
AS far as shooting 6 month old deer, thats not for me,and frontal shots are totally irresponsible.

I only caught part of the show and did not see him shoot, but did see him posing with one of the small deer. What was important to me was the verbal and subliminal messages that hunting is not always about trophy bucks and that we should not lose sight of the importance of culling small deer as needed for the betterment ofan overall herd.
