Absolutely NOT. It's an old wifes' tale. It does nothing unless of course in the processs it corrects a misaligned broadhead a little. It does nothing to line the two up. I just got to be a smart alec, If you line up your blades with your "VEINS" you may bleed out.LOL[8D] If however you line you blades up with you "VANES" it's ok but not needed.

They say its not necessary but I always do. Just because its one less thing to go wrong and it dosen't take but a second to do, so I do.

I would say no... I tried it with my traditional and compound both with and without lining up the two with no difference...

There's absolutely no reason to do so.How could it possibly help if the arrow is spinning?

I always did it b/c I was told that I should. I always bought 3 blade heads just so I could line them up.

I am considering going to a 4 blade this year, so lining them up will no longer be an option.

I dont know if it helps anything or not, but I do it.

but it's all personal preference, and if it works for you. Why not.

Actually i use 4 blade muzzys and you can still line up your blades with the veins/fletchings but youll alwys have one stray blade either at the top or bottom depending on how your shooting.
