Default hog hunting out of stand?

next year, i plan on setting up a stand that i will only hog hunt out of. on my deer lease, we havea lotof hogs, but i have only seen a couple while deer hunting. there is sign everywhere from where they are rooting, but very rarely see them. the guy that runs the camp hog hunts all the time, but uses dogs and a gun. hehas killed tons of hogs that way, but i would rather hunt them from a stand. we can baithogs and deer in Arkansas and that was my plan, but i don't know what would be the best bait to use for them. i know they will eat corn, but i was wanting to use something that the deer won't eat as well. any suggestions?

pour you some corn out and put some strwberry flavor kool-aid on it. you can also pick up some sow in estrus of the net or at the outdoor shop and it works great. Check the hog hunting section of the forums for more info.

I Bowhunt them with outfitters & it is always with a feeder that goes off AM & PM (preset time) & corn. Others put the corn in a bucket-soak it & let it sour then put it in a hole & cover. The deer don't seem to eat the sour corn. Good luck. If they are hunted hard they will almost alwaysbe nocturnal.

ahunter55, that i going to be a problem for me. the guy that hunts them with dogs and a gun usually is hunting them about 2 times a week. in the 3 years that i have hunted there, only one person has shot one with a bow and that was when he was deer hunting.
thanks for all the tips guys.
