I have had both. I now only hunt the LOne Wolf line. They are quieter, and just feel more solidly built. Just my .02 I also have the Lock one from Lone wolf, best lock on I have ever used and I have 6 different ones laying around.

Hello

Yes, the lone wolf is worth the money. I have a climber and the hang-on with sticks. I use the climber the most. I had a summit before the lone wolf and it didn't come close. Though I must mention my summit had its cross members of lightweight channel where the newer ones are more triangular tube which has to be better. My summit creaked whenever I shifted weight, I hated it. Being quiet isa most important aspect of a stand, only surpassed by safety.
The lone wolf is super quiet, packs down better, easier to climb with(no straps or stirrups needed for your feet). The lone wolf belt that goes around the tree allows smaller increments of change compared to that of the summits cable, allowing a better fit for any diameter tree within the limits allowed by the stand.
Often people ask on these forums which stand is better Lone Wolf or summit. It seems more people on this forum say summit. But maybe the questions should be, who has owned both the lone wolf and summit tree stands and which do you hunt with now?

I've used the LW hand climber for two years and love it. It's great for my situation hunting public grounds and trying to manuever throught thick stuff in the dark or stalking in or out of the woods during shooting hours. I
the way the LW collapses can't be beat IMO. If comfort is more important just from the looks of it the summit would be the way to go.

I have tried them both and went with Summit. It's a personal choice base and what you want in a stand. Lone wolf make a good product I just personaly prefer Summit.

I have been doing a lot of research on these two, for my company, and i will be carrying the Lone Wolf. they really seem like a better build product. the customer service is great too! Summit seems only to be geared for the bigger companies and want the "little guy" to buy thru thier wholesalers... not to say thier stands are good stands, because i have used them too, but sometimes there is more to think about... good luck!!
