I'm going to start fletching my own arrows. What vanes are you guys using? Are some brands better than others? I'm a complete newbie when it comes to this so any help would be great!

ranger, your'e going to get so many different replies to this that your head will hurt. Just do a search in this forum and you will find dozens of threads on vane choice.
And to everyone else, lets not turn this thread into another flaming debate.

I would suggest figuring out all the other specs for your arrows and save picking out your fletching last.
Here is the reason why:
I had a very high percentage FOC and an arrow spine that could use some stiffening. Iwanted to placesome weight on the back of my arrows. More weight back there brought my FOC into range and stiffened up my spine a little.I went with the VaneTech vanes because they are very durable, thus slightly heavier than normal 4 inch vanes. The four inch vanes added 29 grains to my arrows, some of that is glue weight.
In short use your vane type/weight to work for you. Your vanes can be a compliment to your arrows and copying what somebody else has may not be what works best for you. Figure out what FOC you need or preferand go with light weight vanes or heavier vanes.

I use the 2 inch Blazers also. They are tough, quiet and with a well tuned bow have no problems putting your broadheads where you want them.
I fletch them on a Grayling jig with a helical. Dont plan on switching anytime soon.

Thanks, might have to check into the Blazers. I'm sure this will turn into one more thing for me to tinker with
